Using Local Group Policy Editor in Microsoft Windows 10, it is possible to completely disable Cortana, without it restarting, and without editing the registry, or making forced changes.
How to Disable Cortana Windows in 10?
Click on Windows key + R and Type gpedit.msc and click OK.
Now under Computer Configuration Select Administrative Templates and click on Windows Components and on click on Search folder.
Next, Click on Allow Cortana and Click on Disable and Apply and OK.
Once you have Disable the Cortana in group policy editor, you have to Update the Group Policy in Command Prompt.
Search the Command Prompt with elevated privileges by right-clicking and “Run as Administrator”
Type gpupdate/force and click Enter.
Now open Task manager > Select Cortana > And Click on End Task.
That’s it you have Successfully Disable the Cortina on windows 10.
For Home Edition User, User Can’t access gpedit, therefore, we need to Disable Cortina using registry editor
Click on Windows key + R and click enter.
Change to 0 to Disable Cortana, 1 to Enable.
You may have to reboot for it to take effect.
